Evaluation partnered with, by, and for communities

Our Approach

Community-partnered research & evaluation data co-ownership

Our team is committed to strengthening youth sexual and reproductive health services in BC, in partnership with youth, service providers, and community partners. Through practices of relational community partnered research, reciprocity and interconnected knowledge mobilization, the UBC Sexual Health Evaluation Team and Options for Sexual Health are working with local youth organizations and partners across BC to learn from youth and providers on how to improve youth sexual health services within communities, with particular focus on underserved, and rural and remote communities.

Findings generated from youth consultations and expert interviews will be shared in an evaluation report to advocate for strengthened, youth-centred sexual healthcare in BC and directly inform the co-design of new youth services to be offered by Options for Sexual Health and local youth partner organizations.

** All interviews with youth and providers will be confidential and anonymous, and evaluation data will be de-identified (stripped of any identifying information) and provided in aggregate form, to protect anonymity of individuals within communities.
